I created a website…

So I created a website. Wahoo! Am I a professional now? Am I officially an “Actor”? What now? I mean, I guess I can tell you a little bit about what I’m up to right now.

This week, I began my first week of my final semester of college. Five years and nine semesters later, I’m finally just a few months away from getting my degree and I honestly can’t believe it. I’m pretty excited about this semester. I’ve been looking forward to creating my capstone since I saw the performances my freshman year. I know it’s going to take up every ounce of my free time and a lot of my energy, but I cannot wait to see what I create. I’m also in an accents and dialects class, which has peaked my interest in linguistics, just generally. Maybe I’ll hop on Duolingo and take French lessons. (Probably not, but it’s good to have dreams.) Then in my performance lab class, we are going to get to work in motion capture performance. I get to put on the suit! I will keep you posted on how that goes.

In terms of work, I was on set filming on Cornered this past weekend. We had some long days, but we had loads of fun! We’re about halfway through the season and things are looking good… I can’t say much, but I can say it’s going to be an exciting watch! At my non-acting job, being a projectionist at a movie theatre, I watched Nouvelle Vague and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have a goal this year to make it through all of the Academy Award nominations, so I’m doing my best to make way of the current short-list… It’s a good thing I work at a movie theatre that is working on showing many of them.
